A great number of enormous changes and alterations have happened in the Russian building industry over the last year. These multiple changes began with the revocation of the current building licenses to the forming of the independent self-regulating organizations («SRO» — in Russian).

Although all building licenses will no longer be issued as of January 1, 2009, all previously issued licenses will be in force until January 2010.

Thus, if you obtain a license now, you will be able to work officially from Jan.1, 2009 to Jan.1, 2010
